Silver Lake Launches New Promotional Effort

The Silver Lake Conference Center has launched an ambitious plan to add 100 new campers to the summer program in 2017, and has developed new promotional materials - including bulletin inserts for church use - to help reach that goal.

"Silver Lake is at its most vibrant when the local church shares in the joy of helping young people -- and even adult volunteers -- find their way to camp through promotions, encouragement, and scholarships," said Executive Director The Rev. Ryan Gackenheimer. "The ministry of the local church and Silver Lake complement one another. Together we offer young people a supportive network to grow a faith that will last a lifetime and experience Christian community in its many and diverse forms."

Churches are being encouraged to add the Silver Lake inserts on the first and third Sundays of each month from now through June. The inserts are being posted online at silverlakect.org/promote, and are being emailed out. A paragraph of text is also being provided for churches that are not able to print an insert.

The Silver Lake staff is also encouraging churches to designate a Sunday early this year as Silver Lake Sunday to celebrate their participation in the Outdoor Ministry Program. Celebration ideas and a litany are available online, as is a certificate that can be presented to campers from previous years.
