Nominations Open for 2019 Silver Lake Award

It's a new year, and time for you to help select a new Silver Lake Award honoree! Nominations are now open for the 2019 Silver Lake Award.

This an opportunity to lift up a member of the Silver Lake community, who in addition to being shaped by their time at the Lake, has given back time, treasure, and talent to Silver Lake, and has made a significant and sustainable contribution to this ministry. The Silver Lake Award recognizes a “Silver Laker” who lives their life and faith in a way that reflects the formative experiences they have had at Silver Lake Conference Center. This person truly takes Silver Lake home with them beyond Low Road.

“I am excited to read the stories of wonderful people that have had an impact on the Silver Lake community and, because of their experience here, have gone and changed the world," said the Rev. Ryan Gackenheimer, Executive Director. "Silver Lake truly changes lives. It is a joy to be able to honor each year folks that have so freely shared their faith, both at the Lake and in the world.”

Nominations for the Silver Lake Award are open through February 7, 2019 at https://www.silverlakect.org/silverlakeaward. All candidates are considered each year. If you have nominated someone in past years, you are encouraged to nominate them again.  

The Silver Lake Board of Directors will announce the 2019 Silver Lake Award honoree in the spring. The honoree will be celebrated at an event this fall. 

Past winners of the award include Ruth Tyrol and the Rev. Davida Foy Crabtree.
