Welcome New Silver Lake Staff!

 

Morgan Aery Hired as Retreat and Business Manager

"Silver Lake has lived in my heart since 1996, and I'm excited for the opportunity to now live at Silver Lake while serving as the Retreat and Finance Manager," Morgan Aery said. "Silver Lake creates and sustains communities of caring individuals, and I look forward to serving in a position that can actively encourage both the development of new communities and facilitate opportunities for its deep-rooted existing community to gather." Aila Brennan hired as Program Director

"Silver Lake is my foundation. My first summer job was at the Lake and to have the opportunity to help foster a new generation of campers and staff will be a life goal achieved. I have so much hope for the future of Silver Lake and it's an honor to be in this role," Brennan said. Read more

Summer Camp at Silver Lake

 

Summer camp registration is open!

5 1-week sessions of overnight camp for grades 4-12
1 week of day camp for grades 1-3
PLUS half-week programs for families

Join us for a week (or more!) as a summer volunteer counselor!

Counselors are age 16+ and are responsible for the campers in their cabin or bunkroom -- a maximum of eight -- through a week-long program. Counselors sleep in a counselor's bunk in or adjoining the campers' cabin or bunkroom, share their meals, and lead them in activities throughout the week. Learn more about counseling here.

Spring Action Weekend

Women's Yoga and Music Spirit Retreat

May 5-7, 2023

Whether you’re a yoga devotee or a novice, a seasoned singer or shy about your voice, we have a special place for you in our circle!

SNEUCC Environmental Justice Youth Retreat

Registration deadline is TODAY - April 21.

Now open to all ages, middle-school through adult!

Nature & Neighbors is a day-long environmental justice retreat which will include exploration of environmental racism and environmental justice; engaging scripture and spiritual practices that inspire and sustain action; and experiencing God’s Creation firsthand at Silver Lake.

Upcoming SNE Conference Events

 

SNEUCC Sending Youth to General Synod 

The Southern New England Conference is accepting applications from youth who want to take part in Youth @ Synod, the national gathering for young leaders ages 14 to 18 who want to connect with teens from around the country while experiencing the vibrant diversity of the wider church.

The event is part of the United Church of Christ General Synod, taking place in Indianapolis, IN, June 30 to July 4. Significant scholarship support is available. Learn more

 

4th Annual Meeting of the Southern New England Conference

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 4th Annual Meeting of the Southern New England Conference, to be held June 17 at the DCU Center in Worcester. An online option is also available.

The meeting will include messages by UCC General Minister and President Nominee Rev. Karen Georgia Thompson and SNEUCC Executive Conference Minister the Rev. Darrell Goodwin; engaging worship; and two sets of breakout sessions, one on " Mapping Your Church's Path Forward" and one on "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion." There will also be a Children's Program, a Marketplace and some pre-meeting events.
