Engaging in Christian Contemplative Practices

Facilitated by Rev. Matt Carriker of the Agape Spiritual Community, participants will engage in practices that lead to deeper spiritual revelations as they explore the mystical dimension of faith. This series supports the “Becoming a Church of Contemplatives in Action” Resolution that passed overwhelmingly at the United Church of Christ (UCC) 2021 General Synod and supports participants to explore new practices to engage in deeper contemplation.

Unsure whether this series is right for you? Consider watching Rev. Carriker’s recently recorded introduction to this topic “Introduction to Christian Contemplative Practices” or reading his recent article, “Why Contemplative Practices?”

Interested individuals can register here: Engaging Christian Contemplative Practices (brtapp.com)

The first meeting will be held on 1/18/2022 from 7:00-8:30, and sessions will continue to be held every other week thereafter for a total of six sessions!

Questions regarding this program may be sent to Elisa Wilson of the Center for Transformational Leadership.
