Silver Lake Conference Center Email Update to the Staff and Board of the Southern New England Conference, UCC

The SLCC year-round staff has a goal to be more intentional about communicating our programs and activities with the wider SNE staff and Board. To do this, we aim to send a monthly email to the entire staff and Board with highlights of what we’ve been working on and upcoming events.

Talking About Summer 2021 at Silver Lake

As you are connecting with churches, associations, and other members of the Conference, we want you to feel comfortable talking about camp this summer and be able to answer questions that may come up – or at least know who to ask for the answer.

Women's Yoga & Spirit Retreat - Saturday, May 15, 10 am-4 pm
Whether you’re a yoga devotee or a novice, a seasoned singer or shy about your voice, we have a special place for you in our circle!
$80 per person - The retreat is open to all who identify as women.

Open House - Sunday, May 16, 1-5 pm
A visit to Silver Lake before camp is the best way for a first-time camper (conferee) to know what to expect — you might even run into a new friend who will be in the same conference this summer! We’ll provide the tours and s’mores; you bring your questions.
Register for a 2-hour time slot and join us for a guided tour of the site.

In Case You Missed It

Silver Lake Welcomes a New Retreat and Finance Manager

Ashley Nichols began as Retreat and Finance Manager on Thursday, March 18. In this role, she will work with rental groups to create retreat experiences that meet their goals. From sales to booking to hospitality, Ashley will ensure that each guest feels welcomed and supported at Silver Lake, whatever the reason for their stay.

She will also be responsible for the financial management of Silver Lake, handling the budget and working with vendors.

We were thrilled to welcome Rev. Goodwin to site at the end of February, Rev. Terry Yasuko Ogawa in March and are looking forward to having Rev. Dr. Price next week!
